What Youll Do
The Finance General Manager is responsible for overseeing the integrity and control of financial accounts and records encompassing disbursements expenses tax payments and income. This role involves applying accounting principles to provide in-depth financial analysis prepare comprehensive financial reports and ensure the accuracy and reliability of all financial data. The Finance General Manager also plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with established accounting and auditing policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and oversee the control of all financial accounts and records including but not limited to disbursements expenses tax payments and income.
- Apply advanced principles of accounting to analyze complex financial information and identify trends variances and key performance indicators.
- Compile and analyze financial information to accurately record transactions prepare detailed financial reports and ensure data integrity.
- Prepare and present essential financial statements including balance sheets profit and loss statements and consolidated financial statements along with other supporting accounting schedules and reports.
- Review and verify the accuracy of financial data and reports implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Design modify install and/or maintain robust accounting systems to ensure adequate recognition processing and reporting of all financial transactions.
- Ensure strict adherence to all internal and external accounting and auditing policies and procedures.
- Actively communicate financial policies and procedures to relevant stakeholders promoting understanding and compliance across the organization.
Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree and minimum 10 years of relevant experience
OR Applicants without a bachelors degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 18 years of completed education and/or relevant experience.

Preferred Job Requirements
Three years of supervisory/management experience. Candidates with less years of supervisory/management experience will be required to complete a developmental plan approved by the Division Director or their delegate.
- Demonstrated expertise in applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as applicable.
- Proficiency in financial software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
