Intermediate Banking Paralegal
Location: Downtown Vancouver BC
Salary: $85000 $110000 (commensurate with experience)

Our client a boutique commercial real estate law firm located in downtown Vancouver is seeking a full-time Intermediate Banking Paralegal to join their collaborative and experienced team. This role offers exposure to a wide variety of commercial real estate and financing matters in a professional positive and team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Handling real estate financing transactions for both lender and borrower clients
- Preparing mortgages and related security documentation
- Coordinating loan closings and registering security at the Land Title Office
- Assisting with commercial real estate acquisitions and sales including closing agendas documentation and closing books
- Supporting land assembly and subdivision matters including Section 219 covenants easements rights of way undertaking letters and complex Land Title Office registrations
- Preparing information packages and managing bulk closings of development units
- Reviewing and interpreting purchase and sale agreements
- Liaising with strata property managers developers sales centres purchasers solicitors realtors and other stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with LOTA and Property Transfer Tax (PTT) reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Paralegal Studies or equivalent relevant experience
- 23 years of experience as a banking paralegal or in commercial real estate law
- Strong ability to prioritize work independently and manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with LTSA systems and real estate-related software as well as Microsoft Word Excel and Adobe
