These ranges reflect what BNSF Railway reasonably expects to pay for this position based on the roles level scope and responsibilities. Final compensation and position level will be determined by factors such as job-related skills experience and relevant education or addition to base pay and bonus eligibility BNSF offers a comprehensive benefits package.

The BNSF RailwayFinance Department provides innovative strategic solutions and world-class financial services to support BNSFs overall performance. The department is committed to maintaining integrity and recognizing the companys successes ensuring that BNSF remains a leader in the railway industry. Within the Finance Department several specialized departments contribute to its overall mission: Controller Revenue Management Strategic Sourcing Tax Treasury and Strategic Studies. Each department is vital in managing BNSFs financial health and strategic financial planning. These departments work collaboratively to secure BNSFs economic stability and support its growth and innovation within the railway industry.

This is a full-time positionlocated in Fort Worth certain positions including this one employees can work one day per week remotely. Our leaders also foster a culture where work life balance which requires flexibility for when life happens is important and respected.

Travel is possible as determined by business need but typically less than 5%

This position will work primarily with Mechanical stakeholders to deliver on the Strategic Sourcing Vision and create a lower Total Cost of Ownership structure. The role will also support in the development and execution of supplier management strategies.

Key responsibilities may include:

Responsible for supplier material purchase & contract transactions of $250M per year

Administration of contracts including billing and payment of material and services

Interfaces closely with internal stakeholders in Mechanical Finance Sourcing Law and bnsf tech as well as external suppliers and service providers.

Identify implement and execute process improvements

Development and execution of BNSF strategies in support of $9B Sourcing supplier spend

Basic Qualifications:

• Able to work now and in the future without BNSFs assistance (whether monetary through sponsorship or otherwise) in obtaining maintaining or extending employment authorization (including H-1B STEM OPT/CPT or TN nonimmigrant status).
• Bachelors degree
• Minimum 1-5 years experience in procurement or related BNSF work experience
• Strong leadership skills and effective communication with both internal and external contacts
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Business partnership and relationship skills to collaborate across groups

• Railroad and/or Sourcing experience
