As a Mechanical Engineer youll leverage your strong foundation in physics mathematics and materials science to process and resolve mechanical problems design and implement custom mechanical tooling and associated processes and enable the handling assembly and disassembly of parts components sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle. Youll be responsible for designing developing and modifying mechanical engineering layouts schematics and specifications. You will oversee manufacturing and installation processes ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations-- and youll coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects identifying sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues.About Applied : Applied Materials is the leader in materials engineering solutions. What Youll Do
-Own mechanical design for next-gen ALD systemsfrom concept to production.
-Solve complex challenges in fluid mechanics structural integrity and thermal and plasma performance
-Apply GD&T fundamentals to ensure precision and reliability.
-Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for high-impact issues.
-Collaborate across disciplines to deliver breakthrough solutions.
-Use tools like NX Unigraphics SolidWorks and Ansys (structural & thermal) to bring ideas to life.
What Were Looking for
-7-10 years of experience in new product development involved in the product design life cycle from the concept and feasibility phase to prototype development to hand off to high volume manufacturing.
-Experience in design of components semiconductor or machine tool industry working with vacuum and clean room environments will be an added advantage
-Strong foundation in fluid mechanics structural design and thermal analysis.
-GD&T knowledge.
-Proven ability in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
-Hands-on experience with NX Unigraphics/SolidWorks and Ansys.
-Excellent communicator can present his/her ideas clearly and can explain the approach to the solution of a technical problem succinctly
-Fast learner open to new ideas
