Job Purpose and Impact
- The Application Developer SAP Functional Analyst serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams ensuring that software solutions align with organizational goals and operational needs of the Protein and Salt business. With limited supervision this role involves gathering and analyzing business requirements designing system enhancements application testing configuration training and support to ensure smooth stable and timely implementation of new software and updates to installed applications. Additionally the analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize business processes supporting SAP modules such as Materials Management (MM) Production Planning (PP) or others as required.
Key Accountabilities
- SAP APPLICATION CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT: Sets up and maintains application configurations to meet user and business requirements while developing and recommending improvements to standard and moderately complex application support processes and procedures.
- SAP APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT & DEPLOYMENT: Configuration testing and deployment of fixes or updates for application version releases.
- USER COMMUNICATION & TRAINING: Keeps an open channel of communication with users and responds to standard and moderately complex application support requests and needs.
- APPLICATION SUPPORT: Conducts advanced and complex application support activities to deliver on business outcomes.
- STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Works with multi-functional teams including developers product managers and business partners to ensure configurations align with standards and project goals.
- INCIDENT & REQUEST MANAGEMENT: Reviews analyzes and prioritizes incoming incident tickets and user requests.
- VENDOR MANAGEMENT: Handles positive relationships with software vendors and negotiates contracts..
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
- 25%-50% Ability to travel (could include international)
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in SAP S/4 Supply Chain Execution applications (Shipping Receiving Inventory Mgmt Warehouse Mgmt etc.).
- Experience with integrations between SAP and external shipping warehousing applications manufacturing execution systems and/or Third Party Logistics providers.
- Experience working on high-impact global ERP projects strategic initiatives and change management initiatives.
- Strong preference for experience in multiple areas of SAP S/4 Commercial applications (Sales Orders Contract Management etc.) or SAP S/4 Operation (PM PLTP PP etc.) or S/4 Material Management.
Short Description
Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
The expected salary for this position is $69000- $105000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location certifications education and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance. At Cargill we put people first.
