As a Sales Executive you will play a crucial role in expanding our client portfolio and promoting our comprehensive logistics solutions with a focus on air and ocean freight services.
Essential Job Functions:
Business Development & Prospecting
- Identify and approach potential customers (importers/exporters manufacturers traders)
- Generate new leads through cold calls emails networking and client visits
- Support in expanding existing accounts
- Research target markets and customer shipping needs.
Client Relationship Management
- Conduct outside sales visits to prospects
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Understand customer logistics requirements (routes volumes Incoterms timelines)
- Act as a point of contact for day-to-day customer inquiries
Quoting & Sales Support
- Follow up on ocean and airfreight quotations
- Coordinate rates with pricing operations and carriers
Coordination with Operations
- Liaise with operations and customer service
- Ensure smooth handover of new accounts to operations
- Support issue resolution related to shipments delays or service problems
- Gather feedback from customers on service performance
Market & Trade Lane Knowledge
- Ocean and airfreight products services and trade lanes
- Stay informed about market trends rate fluctuations and carrier changes
- Develop understanding of customs documentation and compliance basics
Reporting & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate records in Vision
- Update sales activity reports and pipeline status
- Track KPIs such as calls visits quotes and new business
- Assist with sales forecasts and management reports
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics focusing on air and ocean freight services.
- Demonstrated success in sales and business development within the logistics sector.
- Strong communication negotiation and presentation skills.
- Goal-oriented self-driven and capable of working under pressure to meet and exceed targets.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in English (additional languages are an advantage).
- A passion for the logistics industry and the ambition to contribute to the growth of the company.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to meet clients and attend industry events.
