We are currently looking for a Specialist 2 Arbitration to join our team in Murfreesboro TN. Under appropriate supervision responds to issues associated with the mediation and arbitration function and serves as a resource for Nissan staff regarding state and federal laws. Handling high level and high risk matters that could potentially exceed $500000 for Nissan North America Inc. Negotiates issues with the consumer and consumer protection agencies including investigating issues documenting concerns and resolving lemon law and/or breach of warranty matters.

Contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.

A Day in the Life:

  • Evaluates incoming cases from attorneys regulatory agencies and Nissan staff consumers in reference to alleged Lemon Law and Breach of Warranty issues.

  • Collects and closely analyzes warranty and non-warranty data to mitigate potential risks to the Nissan and/or Infiniti Brands.

  • Provides recommendations consistent with state and federal laws while mindful of corporate best practices.

  • Effectively negotiates settlements and repurchases directly with attorneys and third-party agencies personnel through strong verbal and written communication.

  • Calculates voluntary and mandated vehicle repurchases/replacements within given time frame requirements of each state to prevent financial penalties to Nissan North America Inc.

  • Reviews Final repair attempt demands and arranges for inspections and / or final repairs within the required time frames of the applicable state laws.

  • Schedules appointments between dealers attorneys and factory representative regarding issue resolution and lawsuit avoidance.

  • Interfaces with dealerships regional field personnel legal counsel and engineering departments to thoroughly research and resolve complex issues.

  • As necessary performs other related duties of which the above are representative.

Who Were Looking for:

Required:

  • Education: Bachelors degree. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses seminars and in-house classroom training.

  • Experience: One year directly related experience at a professional level preferred.

  • Job Knowledge and Skill: Basic computer systems knowledge proven customer interaction skills strong verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills.

  • Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of word processor spreadsheet other PC applications etc. to output routine products with similar non-creative formats.
