Job Summary
The Data team turns autonomous vehicle and operational data into insights that measure autonomy and service this role youll partner with AI simulation and mission assurance teams to drive improvements guide development and identify high-impact opportunities toward autonomy.
Youll help define how geospatial data and metrics are used across the company enabling Zoox to scale in a data-driven way while working with one of the industrys most unique autonomous vehicle datasets.
In this role you will:
- Build data pipelines of geospatial features
- Integrate internal and external geospatial data to enhance our datasets
- Collaborate with multiple teams to prioritize roadmap on map features
- Identify key areas of investments for our geospatial datasets and features
Qualifications
- Bachelors Masters or PhD in CS statistics mathematics or relevant fields
- Experience with map data and geospatial data analysisFluency in Python or Scala
- Familiarity with SQL
- Experience with Spark or large-scale data analysis
- Experience designing metrics building mechanisms to fuel business insights and driving decision-making at various levels in an organization
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Geospatial Information System (GIS) knowledge of earth systems and geospatial sciences
- Basic fluency in C
$176000 - $212000 a year
Base Salary Range
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling as well as positioning within a level is determined by a range of factors including but not limited to a candidates relevant years of experience domain knowledge and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
