Job Summary

THE ROLE:

  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
  • Shift: 2nd Shift - (Tuesday - Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm) (Saturdays 10:00am -6:00pm)
  • Employment Category: Full Time - Regular
  • Pay Range:$27.50 - $31.00

WHAT YOULL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The Shift lead maintains dock cleanliness and safety. Shift Lead responsibilities include providing training to new hires on GMPs SOP and safety training regulations to ensure compliance. The Shift Lead will conduct forklift and system trainings and will drive continuous improvement with productivity and all other programs/processes.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Ensures all employees are working in a highly productive and safe manner
  • Works with Warehouse Operation Manager and Shift Manager to ensure proper training coaching and development is being provided.
  • Updates and maintains compliance tracking.
  • Updates and maintains SOPs and policies.
  • Reviews & approves employee time cards in Kronos
  • Tracks and maintains employee productivity standards by efficiently teaching all job functions.
  • Inspects/audits all inbound/outbound orders for accuracy completeness and compliance which may include special instructions
  • Understands the importance of maintaining a clean and organized warehouse and carrot and beverage picking areas
  • Engaged and holds daily start up meetings with appropriate staff
  • Manages flow of work in the warehouse and on the shipping dock via JD Edwards system and Red Prairie WMS
  • Understand how to allocate an order by
    • Looking at multiple orders and allocating by appointments
    • Understanding the sales demand screen
    • Ensuring product is allocated by FIFO
    • Creating Replenishment to fix shorts and move product to pick-able locations
    • Must be proficient with the Business Intelligence program to run reports (i.e. whitewood productivity replenishments and others)
  • Daily communication with outside departments
  • Enters safety incidents into Velocity
  • Performs safety audits
  • Assists with QA related functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned


WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Has the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of company GMPs all SOPs and safety regulations
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced high pressure environment
  • Should have exceptional leadership and decision-making abilities
  • Must have the ability to learn different aspects of the Warehouse and the ability to lead and teach others how to achieve the same results

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED; and one to two years related warehouse experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have the ability to learn different aspects of the Warehouse and the ability to lead and teach others how to achieve the same results

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


  • May work in the following areas - Apex warehouse/cold storage/shipping dock/ Main warehouse
  • Exposure to cold temperature (-10 to 34 degrees)
  • Must be able to lift 50-55 pounds
