The Opportunity:
As the Spokane County Extension Office Manager you provide essential administrative and operational support including front desk reception managing communications scheduling coordinating office supplies and handling facility requests. You also oversee building security offer basic tech support assist with program logistics (such as volunteer coordination and class materials) support sales activities and manage mail and deliveries.

This is a full time (100% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $3665 - $4882 Range 41 Steps A-M Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant 1 OR a Bachelors degree in business administration public administration or closely allied field and two years of responsible office experience at the senior clerical level or higher. Clerical or office work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. Graduate study may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
Ability to travel within assigned counties.
Ability to work a flexible yet structured schedule with occasional night and weekend shifts to meet the needs of program partners and grant requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
A valid drivers license and meet requirements in accordance withSPPM7.10 and departmental driving standards.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively with persons of varying levels of responsibility and experience both orally and in writing.
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Workday.
Knowledge ofWSUBusiness Policies and Procedures in the areas of personnel finance and administration.
Experience in higher education local or state agency or equivalent.
