Job Description
Overview: Our client is looking for a Resource Management Specialist is essential for optimizing workforce allocation enhancing operational efficiency and supporting strategic business objectives through data-driven insights and governance. This role demands strong analytical capabilities effective stakeholder engagement and a commitment to driving continuous improvement in resource management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workforce Planning & Optimization
- Develop and implement strategies for resource allocation to maximize utilization and efficiency.
- Continuously enhance workforce management processes including governance tracking and performance dashboards.
- Collaborate with leadership to align resource planning with business priorities and project requirements.
- Performance Monitoring & Analytics
- Track workforce and project performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Analyze operational data to identify trends risks and opportunities for enhancement.
- Provide actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- Data Management & Reporting
- Design and improve dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI to visualize resource utilization and project performance.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with governance standards.
- Project Management System Administration
- Manage and optimize the Project Management System and related tools.
- Create utilization reports and conduct scenario-based analysis for resource planning.
- Collaborate with platform teams to implement system enhancements based on user feedback.
- Governance & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support governance activities including project reporting and compliance reviews.
- Facilitate regular alignment meetings with business leaders and key stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across resource management processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Information Technology Data Analytics or a related field.
- 35 years of experience in resource or workforce management within large-scale or complex organizations.
- Proven experience with project management systems (e.g. MS Project Clarity) and timesheet management tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables formulas and macros) and PowerPoint.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Power BI required; Tableau is a plus).
- Familiarity with SQL or other data query languages is an advantage.
- Knowledge of IT project lifecycle and resource planning methodologies is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills capable of influencing senior stakeholders
