Chef, The Tryst café

We are currently seeking an efficient versatile and proactive Chef to join our Tryst café team.

Situated within Glenmor our seasonal ownership village The Tryst offers a simple menu of light lunches and early evening meals to our guests with its own lochans woodland walks and cosy café is a secluded rural getaway. With two three or four en-suite bedrooms each Glenmor home offers space luxury and privacy as well as all the advantages of the Gleneagles Glorious Playground just a stones throw away.

The on target earning potential for this role is 16.15 / per hour - comprising a base hourly rate of 13.65 plus a qualified estimate of 2.50 per hour in gratuities and service charge.* As a member of the Gleneagles team you will also enjoy a fantastic range of perks benefits and rewards.

The working pattern for this role is Thursday Friday and Saturday from 11.30am to 9pm.

Heres a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

• Youll be working independently cooking and presenting food to order quickly and capably and always at the highest standard
• Working closely with your front of house colleagues supporting them with the provision of hot and cold drinks responding swiftly and professionally to our guests
• Ensuring hygiene throughout the kitchen is impeccable including our cutlery crockery and glassware
• Taking pride in ensuring that all of guest requirements are met youll aim to continually exceed their expectations
• Planning and preparing for the forthcoming service and next day; youll also order food from our Store and use Procure wizard well provide you with full training!
• Interacting with our guests always warm professional helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way

The kind of person were looking for:

• You love to cook and ideally you have great experience in a similar role; you have also already secured a Food Hygiene qualification and completed allergen training
• Flexible in approach youre always prepared to support your colleagues enthusiastically and positively
• You pride yourself in having excellent time management skills; consistently organising your work efficiently and effectively
• Confident and assured working alone you also thrive working with others
• Methodical in your approach you have the ability to adapt and react to any situation
• Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; youre passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand
• You have a positive can do attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner
• A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; youre well organised and punctual
• You want to be part of a team that works hard supports each other and above all has fun along the way
