General Responsibilities/Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Application and Quality Control Engineer to support product lines through quality assurance application research and product development. This role involves conducting quality audits collaborating with manufacturers to resolve issues and managing technical data and documentation. The position offers hands-on experience in validation testing and specification management within the automotive industry working alongside a collaborative product team and external partners.
Major Specific Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and update vehicle coverage data to ensure accurate product fitment.
- Quality Liaison: Serve as the primary contact with manufacturers regarding quality issues corrective actions and compliance with specifications.
- Quality Audits: Conduct rolling inspections and audits to ensure product consistency and reliability.
- Sample Management: Oversee the handling of product and competitor samples for testing evaluation and comparison.
- Specification Data: Collect organize and maintain technical specification data to support cataloging product accuracy and development projects.
- Installation Guides: Develop and maintain installation guides to assist franchisees installers and end-users.
- Warranty Oversight: Manage the warranty process ensuring timely resolution and tracking claims.
- Product Development Support: Assist with product validation testing and launch activities by collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Strong interest in automotive systems product quality and product development.
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles and engineering testing methods.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CAD software and data analysis tools is a plus.
- Excellent organizational problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
