THE OPPORTUNITY

The UGDSB is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team for a permanent full-time opportunity in the capacity of Administrative Office Assistant Continuing Education .

Location: Wellington Centre for Continuing Education (371 College Avenue West. Guelph ON)

FTE and Hours: 1.0 FTE; 35 hours per week

Hourly Pay Rate : $24.26 - $29.31 per hour; wage rate effective September 1 2025

Start Date: As soon as possible

Board Information: 12-month position; permanent; full-time; Office Clerical and Technical (OCT) Union

Reporting to the Principal of Continuing Education the responsibilities of the Administrative Office Assistant Continuing Education are as follows:

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to questions regarding courses offered by Continuing Education
  • Process general interest registrations payments and receipts
  • Registration for various school credit programs
  • Maintain the Edsembli database for the various programs
  • File student records
  • Tracking distribution registration and exam organization for the various programs offered at Continuing Education
  • Some evening hours are expected
  • Other office duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications:

  • O.S.S.D. (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) or equivalent
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively within a demanding multi-task time-sensitive environment
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Excellent word processing skills including Word and Excel
  • Knowledge and experience with Edsembli would be an asset
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and asset
