JOB SUMMARY:
Supports management in directing and coordinating activities of the Technical Entertainment Props personnel. Routinely provides feedback to management on personnel issues and performances. Actively support and implement daily/weekly/monthly planning and scheduling. Ability to multitask and use basic problem-solving skills. Actively promotes engages in and maintains positive working relationships with other departments in supporting department activities by performing duties assigned.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans and delegates work tasks. Delegates work assignments among qualified crewmembers. Communicates performance expectations to ensure proper completion of assigned tasks for Technical Entertainment Props team.
- Actively reinforces company safety guidelines and programs reports non-compliance. Monitors employees productivity work habits. Leads work startup and stoppage. Monitors care condition use and storage of tools equipment and other UO property. Maintains material inventories. Monitors compliance with wardrobe/grooming standards driving policy radio usage and other UO policies.
- Ensures proper completion of required documentation including but not limited to documentation of props repairs and construction processes. Captures written behaviors using the Lead Observation Report to support managerial and supervisory documentation.
- Communicates and coordinates with other departments or crafts as needed. Communicates resource needs and work plans to Supervision. Provides two-way communications between work team supervisor and other management and HR personnel.
- Performs job duties as described for departments non-lead job descriptions.
- Maintains and shares job knowledge assists in developing and training employees. Actively participates in learning opportunities in new and developing technologies for aid in performing department tasks.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Associate degree (AA) preferred.
- Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university in related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 6-10 years experience in maintaining and repair of scenic elements and Entertainment show props.
- 6-10 years experience with different painting and airbrush techniques.
- 5-8 years experience with 3D and design programs.
- 3-5 years experience leading team in repair and development of show props.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid Florida drivers license required.
