Job Summary
We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join IQVIAs laboratory business at Indianapolis IN.
In this role you will perform routine analysis and laboratory testing procedures on pre-clinical and/or clinical specimens ensuring accurate documentation and timely review of results.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Perform and document analytical procedures in compliance with methods and regulatory guidelines.
- Assess analytical progress and verify results are within acceptable tolerances through routine data analysis.
- Identify abnormal results or potential quality issues and escalate promptly.
- Prepare buffers and solutions for analysis as required.
- Conduct calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Assist in writing and reviewing laboratory procedures and techniques.
- Train junior staff and support onboarding activities.
- Ensure adherence to safety and 6S requirements.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline or related field.
- Proficiency in pipetting and basic laboratory techniques.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and infection control practices.
- Other Equivalent combination of education training and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
The Knowledge Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequent standing and walking occasional sitting close eye work requirement (computer typing reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and quality control metrics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel; experience with automation or specialized lab equipment preferred.
