This BCBSND Internship will start on June 1 2026. This is a full-time opportunity in the summer months with the potential for part time hours (16 hours per week) in the fall depending on business needs and intern availability. We offer flexibility within our core business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Pay information

  • The estimated pay range for this role is $15.00 - $20.00/hour. Offers to top candidates are based on various factors such as previous experience and level of education completed.

A day in the life

Were looking for an intern that can bring fresh perspectives new ideas and approaches while fostering innovation and creative problem-solving!

The Intern position is a formal training/development position with specific responsibilities within a defined functional area. Each intern has an individual work plan outlining specific duties and projects for the duration of the internship as well as overall goals for the internship period. A designated mentor will provide supervision guidance and support.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Works with employeesto upgrade laptops to a newer model.
  • Assists with walk-ins that have requested hardware.
  • Assists with hardware replacements and shipping hardware.
  • Completes the proper documentation for changes when replacing hardware.
  • Completes IT service catalog requests (both hardware and software related).
  • Researching and resolving incidents (both hardware and software related) then documenting the resolution steps.
  • Learns organizational processes and procedures to support department staff with general tasks and projects.
  • Develops professional skills through on-the-job learning technical training and department exposure.
  • Builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develops an understanding of what each department does within the organization through cross functional meetings and informational sessions.
  • Demonstrates professional workplace behaviors is punctual and presents an appropriate appearance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by designated leader and/or mentor.
  • Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

What you need to succeed

  • Currently completing post-secondary studies in a specified field or a recent graduate with a degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to take initiative in a team environment.
  • Collaborates with team members mentors and leaders within the organization.
  • Coachable with a highly motivated work ethic.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

Equivalent combination of education experience or training determined to be acceptable by Human Resources may be substituted unless regulated by contract or program standards
