- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth coordination and alignment of operations across sites.
- Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of area managers and staff at the service center.
- Set performance goals provide coaching and foster a positive work environment to motivate and develop associates.
- Provide regular feedback and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities.
- Quality and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to quality standards regulatory requirements and safety protocols across multiple sites.
- Implement and maintain quality control systems to monitor product quality identify issues and drive corrective actions.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve quality or compliance concerns and implement preventive measures.
- Cost Control and Budgeting:
- Develop and manage annual budgets for each facility tracking expenses and optimizing resource allocation.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze production costs labor efficiency and inventory levels to improve profitability.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by implementing lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Lead or facilitate improvement projects such as process optimization waste reduction and efficiency enhancements.
- Foster a mindset of innovation and encourage employees to contribute ideas for operational enhancements.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders such as senior management sales and supply chain teams.
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers to ensure effective communication resolve issues and meet customer requirements.
Education Training and Experience Requirements
- 5 years management experience within a fast-paced high volume manufacturing environment.
- Steel or manufacturing industry experience.
- Technologically savvy and experience working with Microsoft Office products and Windows-based applications.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Requirements
- Highly articulate verbal and written communication skills professional appearance and presentation style.
- Ability to clearly convey information and ideas with all levels of the organization.
- Creative innovative and strategic thinker with proven problem resolution skills and process improvement techniques.
- Highly motivated self-starter able to prioritize projects accept responsibility and follow through without close supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple projects.
