Job Summary and Responsibilities
This team member will sit at our Woodland Memorial Hospital location in Woodland California.
As an Informaticist Healthcare Professional you will leverage health information technology and data to optimize clinical workflows and enhance patient outcomes.
Every day you will analyze complex healthcare data design informatics solutions and collaborate with clinicians and IT to integrate systems toward improved usability and efficiency.
To be successful you will bridge technology and clinical practice demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent communication to drive effective solutions and user adoption.
- Provide E.H.R. Alliance training to hospital staff in preparation for system implementation and upgrades and to new hospital staff/refresher training to existing employees and physicians. Assist with development and distribution of communication to staff regarding important events planned downtimes target dates etc. Provide increased visibility and support during all downtimes planned and unplanned.
- Assist with scheduling physicians for training pre/during go-live and provide training to designated physicians and provide direct support for physicians and their staff in use of handheld devices and remote access.
- Assist the staff in reporting problems with device performance.
- Coordinates optimization activities such as audits and assists in developing action plans educational programs and trains to continuously improve staff use of E.H.R. Alliance.
- Communicate needs/requests of clinicians and hospital staff to Senior Director of Clinical Informatics GSSJA and Dignity Health staff as appropriate. Assist in the development of new policy and procedures related to electronic documentation.
- Design implement and evaluate educational programs in collaboration with the Senior Director Clinical Informatics GSSJA CNOs CFOs and E.H.R. Alliance Team.
Job Requirements
- Three (3) years experience in a hospital setting involved in patient care
- California RN license
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Interpersonal relationshp skills
- Understanding of current trends and issues in healthcare
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Organizational and priortization skills
- Ability to type accurately and rapidly
- Understanding of current nursing techniques principles and practices
- Staff development and needs assessment techniques
- Expertise with computer applications in a Windows based environment
