Job Summary
Job Type: Contract
Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)
Position Urgency: Rapid Response / Crisis
The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care in the Medical-Surgical and Skilled Nursing departments during night shifts. This role requires proficiency in caring for adult and non-critical pediatric patients with the flexibility to float between Med/Surg and Skilled Nursing as needed. The RN practices in accordance with professional nursing standards hospital policies and the applicable State Practice Act.
Key Responsibilities-
Deliver safe high-quality nursing care to adult and non-critical pediatric patients

Perform patient assessments administer medications and monitor patient conditions

Document patient care accurately using the Cerner electronic medical record system

Float to the Skilled Nursing Department as required based on patient census and staffing needs

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Adhere to hospital policies safety standards and regulatory requirements

Provide care during holidays as required

Licensure: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the applicable state (must be active at time of submission)

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience

EMR Experience: Cerner experience required

Pediatric Experience: Must be comfortable caring for non-critical pediatric patients

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required
