Purpose of Role

To support the primary class teacher in managing classroom activities ensuring student safety and assisting young learners in their academic social and personal development.

CSA Class Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher during teaching and learning activities.
• Support students with classroom work worksheets and learning materials.
• Help maintain discipline and ensure a safe caring classroom environment.
• Assist students with personal care needs (toilet support hygiene meals) where required.
• Supervise students during arrival dispersal recess lunch and school activities.
• Help in preparing teaching aids displays and classroom materials.
• Support students with special or individual learning needs under teacher guidance.
• Accompany students during field trips assemblies and school events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom.
• Communicate observations about students to the class teacher.
