The Tewksbury Public Schools is seeking a Director of Student and Family Support. This is a twelve-month position. The nature of this position may require hours beyond the regular workday. The Director will prioritize addressing crisis situations and completing necessary tasks and will set hours accordingly.- Responsible for coordinating Centralized Registration for Pre-K through 12th-grade students -- Ensure procedural safeguards are in place regarding students cumulative records-- Collect and analyze enrollment and relevant data which is shared with the appropriate staff-- Knowledge of TPS graduation requirements early college planning and career exploration initiatives - Oversee the coordination and implementation of a comprehensive program of school counseling services including: -- Guidance and adjustment counseling programming aligned with DESE ASCA and MASCA-- PSAT SAT AP and other College and Career Readiness Programs and related assessments-- Annual TMHS Scholarship and Awards Ceremony other student scholarships and financial aid literacy opportunities for families - Early College and Career Readiness planning for students.- Participate in the supervision and evaluation of counseling support staff and related programs- Responsible for district coordination and oversight of Student Support Teams (SST) - Responsible for facilitating meetings with district support staff (guidance adjustment and school counselors)- Oversee Social Emotional Learning (SEL) programs and initiatives with district support staff- Provide outreach to community agencies on behalf of families - Coordinate with administrators and support staff to determine appropriate support for students/families during crisis situations and address trauma-related needs- Coordinate with Regional Mental Health Initiatives to establish short-term counseling services- Provide ongoing information on available resources to families and students- Coordinate with the Educational Liaison at the Department of Children and Families (DCF) on behalf of students in need - Participate in best-interest determination meetings - Serve as a member of the District Leadership Team District Security Team and Community-Based Justice meetings- In collaboration with the Assistant Superintendent assist in coordinating and establishing Professional Development opportunities for staff on topics such as Title IX SEL (Social Emotional Learning) DEI (Diversity Equity and Inclusion) 504 process and counseling-related programs - Coordinate a District Attendance Committee to oversee and review attendance trends and related interventions and processes- Job function includes acting as the district liaison to the child and family courts as the Districts Attendance Officer (with an additional stipend).- Oversee Guidance and Adjustment Counselors - provide feedback and evaluations as appropriate- Coordinate all Guidance Department Activities for district staff & related buildings - District liaison for homeless and foster care- Perform other tasks and assume responsibilities as determined by the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent - 504 and Title IX Coordinator
