The Manager Finance Business Partner (FBP) plays a pivotal role in supporting strategic and operational decision-making across the organization. This position acts as a trusted advisor to business leaders providing financial insights performance analysis and recommendations to drive business outcomes. The Manager partners cross-functionally to support planning forecasting reporting and process improvement initiatives ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals and governance standards.
The job location will be in Shanghai.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g. CPA CFA) preferred.
- Minimum 57 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting including managerial or supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience in financial planning analysis and business partnering; hospitality or service industry experience is a plus.
Minimum Job Specifications
- Strong financial acumen and analytical thinking with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial systems (e.g. Hyperion PeopleSoft Power BI) preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and drive change.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin
Core Work Activities
- Serve as a finance business partner to assigned functions or projects providing analytical support and financial guidance.
- Lead monthly financial reporting variance analysis and dashboard development to support business visibility and decision-making.
- Prepare and review financial documentation including budgets forecasts and business cases.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies controls and governance principles.
- Support strategic initiatives through financial modeling scenario planning and business reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR compliance accounting and project management to ensure financial alignment.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency accuracy and automation in financial operations.
- Monitor and manage project-level financials including cost tracking billing accruals and reconciliations.
- Provide proactive insights and recommendations to optimize resource allocation and mitigate financial risks.
- Participate in global and regional initiatives sharing best practices and leveraging tools across teams.
