Job Summary
Aspen Medical is seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager Business Development to lead our global business development function and drive sustainable revenue growth across Australia and international markets.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer this is a senior leadership role with responsibility for shaping and executing Aspen Medicals business development strategy managing key global client relationships and leading a high-performing team of senior business development leaders.
This role is ideal for a commercially astute leader with a strong track record in complex sales environments who thrives on building long-term partnerships and delivering measurable growth outcomes.
About the position:
In this role you will:
- Drive sustainable revenue growth and achieve agreed annual revenue targets across all regions
- Develop and deliver the global business development strategy and annual BD business plan
- Lead coach and mentor a high-performing global Business Development team (Director level and below)
- Build maintain and report on a strong transparent sales pipeline and forecasting framework
- Oversee the development and delivery of major tenders proposals and commercial opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government industry and international partners
About you:
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Demonstrated success in delivering revenue growth and managing complex long-cycle sales environments
- Significant senior leadership experience in business development sales or commercial management
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop innovative pricing and commercial models
- Excellent communication negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
- (Desirable) Postgraduate qualifications and experience in government healthcare digital health and/or international markets
