Do you have a passion for teaching high school students within a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum Are you eager to engage fully in the life of a vibrant school community Harvard-Westlake School is seeking an exceptional educator for a full-time position in our Upper School History/Social Studies Department (grades 1012) teaching four sections that include a mix of Modern World History and U.S. History.

We welcome applicants who bring strong content knowledge relevant academic preparation and/or demonstrated classroom experience in both U.S. history and modern world history.

About the Department

The History/Social Studies Department places a high value on collegiality collaboration and team teaching. This model includes:

• Bachelors degree or higher in history or a related field
• Experience teaching Modern World History and U.S. History

• Enthusiasm for working with students inside and outside the classroom

Compensation

Anticipated base compensation: $85000- $115000 depending on experience.
Start date: August 2026 for the 202627 school year.
