Summary

Reporting to the Manager Communications and Public Relations the publicistis responsible fordeveloping and implementing media relations strategy for Bell Medias TV channels radio stations digital media platforms and streaming services.

Accountabilities

Media Relations

  • Organize and coordinate press events (screenings set visits programming launches radio tours etc.)
  • Plan suggest and arrange interviews with channel headliners
  • Write and forward to the media press releases monthly and weekly priorities and any other information relating to Bell Medias various brands and productions
  • Respond to journalists requests for information and material (photos screeners synopsis etc.)
  • Review press releases and ensure web monitoring of programs and headliner visibility
  • Update press room
  • Update and develop press contacts and distribution lists
  • Write press relations activity reports

Qualifications

  • University degree in communications or related field
  • At least 5 years experience in media relations
  • Excellent knowledge of Quebec media
  • Experience in media relations in the cultural sector radio or television - an asset
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Excellent stress and priority management skills
  • Initiative flexibility dynamism and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain good relationships
  • Knowledge of the arts and television - an asset

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
