Masters in agriculture agriculture science education with a specialization in agriculture or other agricultural area (including: agricultural business agricultural engineering agricultural mechanics agronomy enology environmental (ornamental) horticulture forestry natural resources plant science pomology soil science viticulture or other agriculture science). 2. Successful teaching experience at the community college level. 3. Relevant industry experience including knowledge of horticultural practices and techniques common to the local area. 4. Demonstrated leadership effective communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills indicative of the ability to support a positive productive and professional academic environment. 5. Commitment to examine reflect and modify instructional relational and classroom practices to more effectively engage and support disproportionately impacted student populations with a goal of closing equity gaps ( see Student Equity website ). 6. Minimum Qualifications
To be eligible for this position you must meet and provide evidence of the following minimum qualifications: 1. any Bachelors degree and two years of professional experience directly related to horticulture; OR 2. any Associates degree and six years of professional experience directly related to horticulture; OR 3. a valid California teaching credential authorizing horticulture instruction in a community college; OR 4. the equivalent. Applicants who do not possess the EXACT degree major(s) required to meet the minimum qualifications must attach an equivalency narrative and supporting documentation at the time of application.
