Heres What You Need:
Associates degree in nursing required or
Bachelors degree in nursing preferred
2 years of experience as a registered nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge Nurse Committee Chair Preceptor)
Charge Nurse experience in an ED preferred
RN Registered upon hire required and
BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required and
PALS Pediatric Advance Life Support within 90 days of hire required
CPI Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days maintained annually required and
TNCC Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months required or
ATCN Advanced Trauma Care Nurse within 6 months required
A high degree of confidentiality positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment
