AntennaPosition Summary: An Assembler 1 is proficient at assembling various sub-assemblies or complete antenna builds using solder glue pressing and crimping techniques. By reading and following blueprints work instructions tools provided and working with engineering support personnel when necessary. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION TARGETS (80% - 100%) An Assembler 1 has the ability to be proficient in meeting production standards and efficiency targets within 80% to 100% of any of the following Military Antenna Products: Advanced Broadband Vertically Polarized Antennas 4242-MK Series Low Profile Whip Antennas 4243A Series Dual-Band Base Fed Single Radome Antenna DB-3450/VRC Series High Power Broadband Antennas HP-3512/VRC Series Standard Broadband Antennas RF390 / SFB3512/VRC Series Center-Fed Coaxial Sleeve Dipole Antennas 4265BB Low Profile Dipole Ground Plane Independent Antennas 4265A Instantaneous Wide Band Bandwidth Antennas WB-2245 Series Low Profile UHF Dipole WB-5025/VRC 4310-A 4266 Series High-Power Digital HP-5250S/VRC Series HF Bases and Base Station Kits / Vehicular Kits 120 Series / 4289-W / RF-1980 Series Ground Plan Kits 4256A Mast Systems Racal / N119473-1 VHF/UHF Manpack Systems In addition to the above listed Essential Functions an Assembler 1 will also be required to perform the following functions. Production and Daily Efficiency reporting. Reporting non-conformances and scrap. Actively participates in 5S programs and Safety Self Evaluation Audits. Consistently averages 87% to 100% efficiency . SECONDARY FUNCTION TARGETS (80% - 100%) An Assembler 1 will be proficient or have demonstrated general knowledge through OJT training in 80% to 100% of the following secondary functions: General Assembly / Packing and Inspection Drill Press Operations / Spring Press Operations / Lathe Operations Tuning and Testing / High Voltage VSWR & Continuity Testing Racal Assembly Testing and Inspection Phase III Marine Assembly and Testing 120 Series / Kitting Operations / Stamping and Inspections Potting / Ferrule Gluing / Foaming / Painting Soldering (Sweat Soldering / Silver Soldering) Cable Assembly / Circuit Board Assembly and Testing Ferrule Operations to include but not limited to: Expansion Threading Cutting and addition to the above listed Secondary Functions an Assembler 1 will also be required to: Perform other duties as assigned. Have the ability to perform several tasks at once to include OJT and leading a sub-cell of assemblers. Have the ability to read and understand blueprints and perform basic mathematical calculations.
