Join the fast-growing Capital One Travel team as we seek to transform the way customers book travel. Capital One Travel is a fast-moving highly innovative business within Capital Ones Digital Commerce & Innovation organization. As a Mobile Software Engineer in Capital One Travel youll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.

About the Role

Our iOS and Android platforms at Capital One are recognized as an opportunity to reach our customers in unique personal and engaging this role youll be joining a team based in our Toronto office that is building native iOS and Android features using Swift SwiftUI Kotlin and JetPack Compose to support Capital One Travel customers in all aspects of their journey from inspiration to booking to the in-transit experience and beyond.

Our engineers are provided with top of the line Macbook Pros high-end monitors and the necessary tooling to develop the best possible products with the least amount of friction.

IDE: XCode Android Studio
Language: Swift. SwiftUI Kotlin Jetpack Compose
Monitoring Tools: NewRelic Splunk
CI/CD: Jenkins OnePipeline (Capital Ones innersourced CICD pipeline)

Your Responsibilities:

Work as part of a dynamic team throughout the software development life cycle
Develop code to meet story acceptance criteria
Conduct design and code reviews to ensure high-level quality output
Ensure adherence to continuous improvement practices as required to meet quality and time to market imperatives
Participate in Agile ceremonies design and brainstorming sessions
Collaborate with Product and Design partners to implement enhancements or new applications
Learn and build iOS/Android features on the job

Basic Qualifications:

Will obtain a Bachelors degree or higher from August 2026 or later
Familiarity with iOS or Android application development specifically with Swift or Kotlin
Good communication presentation and writing skills
Good understanding of testing fundamentals
Able to work within a team setting and actively participate and collaborate in team discussions

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SwiftUI or JetPack Compose
Experience with version control technology i.e. Git
