This Position reports to:

Global Sales & Portfolio Manager - General Industries Segment


Your role and responsibilities:

In this role you will have the opportunity to conduct proactive business development aligned with the General Industries segment strategy in countries within the Americas region where business conditions require increased attention and focus. Each day you will provide business support including expertise in products applications solutions and segment and customer (group) support for the assigned product portfolio. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring profitable business growth and sustainable deployment of the divisions strategic plan.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

This role is contributing to the growth of the General Industries segment within BL Industries in Americas Region.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Ensuring the strategies and business plans are aligned with the overall segment strategy to achieve defined targets.

  • Delivering Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets for existing products as well as new product launches in collaboration with the Sales & Portfolio functions and ensuring their achievement.

  • Overseeing the implementation of activities for agreed cross-country cross-segment and relevant Global Solution Centre initiatives

Qualifications for the role:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Sales and/or Business Development preferably within the Industrial Robotic Automation market.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic growth initiatives across multiple countries or clusters within a complex matrixed environment.

  • Solid experience in managing a multi-channel sales approach for standard products and solutions.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategy into concrete actions that drive sustainable growth.

  • Demonstrated collaboration skills with experience working effectively across regions functions and with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication negotiation and influencing skills with a customer-centric mindset.

  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.

ABB provides 11 paid holidays. Vacation is provided based on years of service for hourly and non-exempt positions. Salaried exempt positions are provided vacation under a permissive time away policy.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicants qualifications and experience this position is expected to pay between $116200 and $185920 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
