As a Maintenance & Support Technician you play a critical role in keeping production running safely and reliably. You support the Production team by maintaining troubleshooting and improving mechanical electrical and control-related systems. During early phases youll also support installation and commissioning activities working closely with Hyperion engineers both on-site and remotely.
Your responsibilities include:
Executing preventive and corrective maintenance calibration and repairs on factory machinery
Providing hands-on technical support to production during mechanical electrical or software-related issues
Coordinating troubleshooting efforts with Hyperion engineers and remote support teams
Installing and assembling mechanical and electrical systems in line with drawings specifications and safety standards
Maintaining clear documentation of maintenance repairs and modifications
Identifying and implementing small-scale technical improvements to enhance reliability and safety
Who You Are
You are a technically minded maintenance professional with experience in industrial environments. You enjoy problem-solving take pride in quality workmanship and stay calm when diagnosing issues under pressure. Youre comfortable working independently but you communicate clearly with operators engineers and managers.
You bring:
A level 3 technical education or equivalent in electrical mechanical or mechatronics engineering. For example: BTEC or NVQ Level 3.
City & Guilds 2382 as electrical certification
IOSH Working Safely or equivalent
Familiarity with UK HSE regulations
2 years of experience in maintenance troubleshooting or technical support within an industrial setting
Strong hands-on skills in mechanical and electrical systems
The ability to read wiring diagrams schematics and piping layouts
Clear spoken and written English
Comfort working in a fast-moving start-up environment
Experience with PLC setup diagnostics or basic programming is a strong plus.
