Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts Rotating weekends & holidays

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality cardiopulmonary care to patients across the acute care setting. The Respiratory Therapist will work collaboratively with physicians nurses and the interdisciplinary care team to assess treat and monitor patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with physician orders departmental policies and established clinical guidelines
Perform patient assessments including lung volume measurements and respiratory status evaluations
Collect and analyze arterial blood gas (ABG) samples using blood gas analyzers
Initiate manage and monitor invasive and non-invasive ventilation including ventilators CPAP and BiPAP
Deliver oxygen therapy aerosolized medications and other prescribed respiratory treatments
Monitor patient response to therapy and communicate changes in condition to the care team
Respond to emergency situations including rapid responses and code events
Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions treatments and equipment use
Assist with discharge planning related to respiratory care including home oxygen needs
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Clean disinfect sterilize and perform preventive maintenance on respiratory equipment
Monitor stock and distribute respiratory supplies and medical gas cylinders
Ensure compliance with safety standards infection control policies and regulatory requirements
Licensure: Utah Respiratory Care Practitioner license (required upon hire)
Credential: NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months
Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) within 6 months
Experience in acute care or critical care hospital settings
Experience with emergency response and ventilator management
Strong communication and patient education skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
3 12-hour shifts per week
Day shift: 04:45 16:45
Night shift: 16:45 04:45
Rotating weekends and holidays
