Java Technical Lead

Position: Java Technical Lead (Banking Domain Experienced)

Location: Dallas TX (Onsite)

As a Java Technical Lead you will provide end-to-end technical leadership for a large-scale banking engagement owning architecture delivery and team performance. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will:

• Lead and govern enterprise Java architecture and delivery including microservices APIs cloud-native solutions and data/AI integrations.
• Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for a 30 member engineering team ensuring best practices regulatory compliance and strong delivery controls.
• Design and implement highly available scalable and secure systems tailored for financial services environments.
• Partner with client stakeholders to translate business and regulatory requirements into clear technical roadmaps and execution plans.
• Drive agile delivery proactively managing risks quality security and delivery timelines.
• Mentor and develop onshore and offshore team members fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Leverage emerging technologies in AI data and cloud to continuously enhance client solutions.
• Maintain robust technical documentation enforce standards and track delivery health using key metrics.

What youll bring

• Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Engineering or a related field.
• 15 years of progressive experience in Java development architecture and enterprise solution delivery.
• Proven leadership of large onshore/offshore teams (30 engineers) ideally within banking or financial services.
• Deep technical expertise in:
  • Java Spring Microservices
  • Cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP)
  • API design and distributed systems
  • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML and data engineering solutions into enterprise platforms.
• Strong understanding of security regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services.
• Excellent communication stakeholder management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Dallas five days per week.

Preferred:

• Financial services or banking domain experience.
• Exposure to event-driven architectures low-latency systems and modern security frameworks.
