Job Summary

Job Summary:

The MRI Technician is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures ensuring patient safety and comfort and producing high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. This role requires proficiency in various MRI techniques equipment operation and adherence to safety protocols. The MRI Technician will work with diverse patient populations and anatomical regions utilizing specialized imaging procedures and post-processing techniques.
Location:Edmonds Washington United States
Responsibilities:

- Perform MRI procedures on various body parts including abdomen pelvis chest head neck spine and musculoskeletal system.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to strict safety protocols and screening procedures.
- Prepare and administer contrast media as required.
- Operate and maintain MRI equipment including Siemens systems.
- Utilize specialized imaging techniques such as maximum intensity projection (MIP) multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) and T1/T2 weighted imaging.
- Assist in data entry into electronic medical database systems.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Answer unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
- Perform selected patient registration activities.
- Coordinates equipment/supply needs. Notifies appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Perform any other related duties (e.g. clerical technical duties) as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- ARRT MR certification
- BLS certification
- State license
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technician
- Experience in adult acute care adult ICU adult outpatient ER/Trauma and pediatric acute care settings
- Proficiency in imaging abdomen pelvis chest head neck and spine
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and radiation safety
- Experience with preparation and/or administration of contrast media
- Experience with Maximum intensity projection (MIP) Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) Perfusion Surface Coils T-1 Weighted Images T-2 Weighted Images
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Experience with MR Cardiac imaging
- Experience with Head Magnetic resonance venography (MRV) Neck Magnetic Resonance Venography (MRV)
- Management/lead experience
- Experience starting Peripheral IVs
- Experience with CINE (Cerebrospinal fluid flow study) Diffusion (non-brain) Gradient Echo Imaging Image post-processing (Apparent diffusion coefficient mapping subtraction) Peripheral Magnetic resonance angiography (Iliac runoff) Spectroscopy Spin Echo Images
Special Considerations:

- Must be willing to work every Friday Saturday and Sunday.
- Perm candidates of other facilities are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months.
- All facilities honor active compact licenses.
Scheduling:
- Weekend shifts required (every Friday Saturday and Sunday).
