The Westlake Fellows Program is seeking outstanding newly minted or imminent PhD graduates with a track-record of excellence and creativity to establish their own independent research programs in any area of science and engineering. APPOINTMENT TERMS

Westlake Fellows work as full-time principal investigators and have full access to Westlakes state-of-the-art facilities for a period of three years which can be renewed for another three years after evaluation. Start dates are flexible. This is a great opportunity for researchers to start their careers free from the need to raise their own grant support or the distractions of classroom teaching. Westlake Fellows can also seek additional external funding.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates are about to be awarded a doctoral degree or within two years of obtaining a doctoral degree and havent been employed as an assistant/associate professor or full professor (or equivalent).Candidates can be nominated by a senior investigator who can provide an in-depth analysis of their accomplishments and future potential. We also welcome direct applications from exceptional candidates.
