About the Opportunity
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and contribute to innovative mechanical design for large-scale desalination and water treatment projects delivering sustainable value-engineered solutions from concept through to detailed design.
- Develop and review technical calculations specifications reports schedules and procurement documentation ensuring compliance with project and Water Corporation requirements.
- Manage and maintain digital design information including drawings registers transmittals change requests and design control systems.
- Prepare and present D&C cost estimates technical proposals and design solutions to internal teams clients and key stakeholders.
- Ensure design integration and interface management across mechanical civil electrical and other disciplines.
- Support project delivery and procurement including tendering vendor engagement equipment selection site visits and technical meetings.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight coordinating resources budgets work packages and WBS to keep design programs on track.
- Drive sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement contributing new ideas mentoring team members and supporting commissioning testing and O&M documentation.
Required Skills and Competencies
Capability & Experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience in large-scale water infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of design control systems and standards
- Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
