Job Summary

Mechanical Superintendent

The Superintendent leads directs and coordinates the work of subcontractors and labourers. This leadership position is responsible for the day-to-day management on an assigned project executing field operations safely and in a manner consistent with Company objectives.

What You Will Be Working On

Initiates coordinates directs and schedules site personnel to ensure project objectives are met.
Coordinate a multi-trade workforce to execute maintenance tasks project work and support plant shutdowns
Ensure project controls are in place to accurately measure progress against a schedule
Ensure workers follow procedures remain engaged and execute quality work
Assist in estimating requirements of future projects
Manage equipment requirements for each project or task
Manage multi-platform labour arrangements from unionized workers to open shop
Partake and occasionally lead incident investigations as required
Assist in preparation and negotiation of mechanical and electrical subcontracts.
Implements and manages the Bird Safety Program; performs regular hazard analysis and toolbox meetings.

What We Are Looking For

10 years experience in the maintenance industry working with contractors with relevant work experience in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems
Experience with industrial and process mechanical electrical and controls considered an asset.
Effectively provide overall supervision coordination and scheduling of construction activities and consistently complete projects on time on budget and to the clients satisfaction.
Demonstrated competence in the areas of safety workforce management project execution cost control quality and administration.
A strong leader and problem-solver you are able to build and steward trust with clients subcontractors and team members to effect competitive excellence and pride in teamwork with outstanding project delivery.
