Job Summary
JOBSITE SUPERINTENDENT COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION
Gardon Construction is looking for talented jobsite superintendents for:
- Major renovation projects
- New builds
If you have the following background we would like to hear from you.
- It is imperative that you have carpentry experience not just supervision. You will be expected to be working hands on and/or assisting job site employees in many cases.
- Red Seal Carpenter Certification is an asset.
- Commercial construction experience is imperative.
- You should have a minimum of 4 years of superintendent experience.
- Use of software programs that include requests for materials daily logs RFIs shop drawings etc. as well as safety compliance is necessary. Gardon Construction will train you on our specific software but you must already have a background in use of software on construction sites.
- The ability to think ahead to ensure materials are on site prior to being needed (at least 1 week in advance).
- Working closely with the project manager/team to ensure the schedules are met and site personnel are adequate.
- Ability to read and understand plans specifications and shop drawings is a must.
