Job Summary

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Conduct initial and monthly nursing assessments for RTC clients.
  • Manage the medication system administer and document medication treatment.
  • Screen and monitor clients for medical problems/side effects.
  • Communicate and coordinate services with other medical providers.
  • Engage in health promotion prevention and education activities (i.e. assess for risky behaviors and attempt behavior change.
  • Educate other team members to help monitor psychiatric symptoms physical health and medication side effects in generic and specific manner.
  • Conduct psychoeducational groups as needed with RTC clients.
  • Develop strategies with clients as appropriate to maximize the taking of medications as prescribed (behavior tailoring development of individual cues and reminders).

What we need from you.

  • Possession of a bachelors degree in nursing preferred or an associate degree in nursing with relevant work experience which uniquely qualifies the individual for the job. Possession of a valid license (RN or LPN) to practice nursing in the state of keeping with the Maryland Board of Nursing guidelines all nurses must have an active Maryland nursing license to practice in the state of Maryland or must have an active license in a compact state that allows them to practice in Maryland if they reside in that compact state. A multistate licensee who changes primary state of residence to another party state shall apply for a multistate license in the new party state within 60 days. The rule requires that a nurse apply for a new license in a new primary state of residence within 60 days of relocating it does not require the new license be issued withing 60 days.
  • Two years positively referenced relevant work experience.
  • Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office ability to navigate through applications and utilize keyboard to input required documentation into electronic health record
  • Safe Driving Record.
  • Valid drivers license or alternative transportation plan valid auto insurance that names employee as insured driver.
  • Work primarily M-F business hours but must be flexible to adjust schedule to meet client needs including evening or weekend hours.
