Job Summary

ServiceNow Architect
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who can architect scalable platforms guide development teams and partner closely with business stakeholders to drive operational efficiency and business value.
This is a remote-first contract-to-hire opportunity. Candidates must reside in the Mountain or Pacific Time Zones to support team collaboration.
Position Overview
The ServiceNow Architect will be responsible for defining architectural standards leading complex implementations and ensuring platform integrity across ServiceNow environments. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert across ITSM ITOM ITBM HRSD and CMDB while guiding integrations governance and long-term platform strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Strategy
Lead end-to-end architecture and implementation of ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules
Define architectural roadmaps aligned with business goals and ServiceNow best practices
Translate business requirements into scalable secure technical designs
Platform Design & Optimization
Oversee configuration and customization while enforcing platform standards
Optimize performance workflows data models and CMDB structure (CSDM-aligned)
Guide platform upgrades patches and feature enhancements
Integrations & Automation
Architect integrations using REST SOAP OAuth2 JWT and MID Server
Enable seamless interoperability with third-party enterprise platforms and cloud services
Support automation initiatives using Flow Designer scripting and native ServiceNow tools
Leadership & Governance
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
Establish governance frameworks for update sets deployments version control and security
Ensure compliance with ITIL-aligned processes and ServiceNow governance standards
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a trusted advisor on ServiceNow capabilities and solution design
Produce clear documentation including architecture diagrams and implementation guides
Partner cross-functionally to ensure successful delivery and adoption
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Experience
5 years of hands-on ServiceNow solution design and implementation
Minimum 3 years in a lead or architect role
Experience delivering large-scale enterprise ServiceNow implementations
Technical Expertise
Strong expertise in ITSM ITOM ITBM HRSD and CMDB
Deep knowledge of ServiceNow architecture CSDM governance and deployment processes
Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript Glide API Business Rules)
Extensive experience with integrations using REST SOAP OAuth2 JWT and MID Server
Certifications
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required
Process & Methodology
Strong working knowledge of ITIL (Incident Problem Change Configuration Management)
Experience working in Agile delivery environments
Communication & Leadership
Ability to lead technical teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
Strong written and verbal communication skills
