ABOUT THE POSITION

This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining dishes kitchen work areas food preparation equipment and utensils.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:

  • Scrape food from dirty dishes and wash by hand or dishwashing machine.
  • Wash pots pans & trays.
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
  • Wash worktables walls refrigerators and meat blocks.
  • Separate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers.
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Assist in light food prep work product processing storage tasks and other culinary tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Manual dexterity to operate cooking tools such as knives.
  • Basic computer skills including ability to use email.

  • This position is regularly required to stand for up to eight (8) hours or more in close proximity to hot cooking elements.

  • This position requires repetitive physical work.
  • This position may be required to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • This position may occasionally be required to climb or balance; and stoop kneel or crouch.
