Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital Sterile Services Bank Contract - Ad hoc Evening & Weekend Availability

13.50 per hour dependent on experience

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

As an HSSU Coordinator at our Glasgow Hospital youll combine basic computer literacy with strong organisation skills. From processing used surgical instruments for dispatch to receiving sterile surgical equipment and supporting our friendly theatre team youll make sure everything runs smoothly.

As an HSSU Coordinator you will:

• Move and handle trays and items of various weights and sizes

• Be competent in following strict infectionprevention standards for the decontamination of endoscopic equipment.

• Maintain accurate records and keep documentation up to date

• Dispose of contaminated waste in accordance with hospital policy

• Regularly check that our equipment is in good working order and all faults are reported

• Maintain a clean and tidy working environment

• Take action to rectify any problems and escalating issues where necessary
