Overview
BASIS Ed seeks full-time College Counselors for BASIS who will be responsible for teaching a daily college counseling workshop to 12th graders completing college counseling reports serving as the Senior Research Project (SRP) coordinator organizing college admissions visits each fall conducting family college counseling evenings meeting one-on-one with 9th and 10th graders during the academic year instructing students on completing college admissions applications and financial aid applications and obtaining recommendations and additional responsibilities as needed. Additionally this individual will be responsible for developing new program ideas co-leading college information evening sessions and developing and maintaining college planning and career assessment and readiness software such as Naviance.

Job Qualifications:
Required:
- A Bachelors degree previous applicable experience.
- A valid fingerprint clearance and/or satisfactory applicable state background check
Preferred:
- A Masters degree strong communication skills in speaking with parents students; editing essays and writing letters of recommendation.
- Critically an applicant must possess a high GPA in his/her major excellent employment recommendations and experience working with students and parents.
