We are hiring for an operations supervisor whose primary focus is leading programs such as the Emergency Operations Center WebEOC duty officer/duty manager and supervising staff who are responsible for mass care resource management and logistics alert and warning and EMS program. You will work closely with the preparedness and planning sections to ensure roles responsibilities and department functions are operational and ready to implement. This role requires active and early engagement in incidents around the County and you should be comfortable working in the field and liaising with first responders.
Supervisors serve as part of a cadre of rotating duty managers and when the EOC is activated may serve as an EOC Manager.

How to be Successful in the Role:
Emergency Management has a strong onboarding program to ensure employees have received department information points of contact and resources such as computers phones and other addition the management team will work directly with the supervisors to provide opportunities for information sharing and regular feedback. The employee will also be eligible to attend FEMA-approved training courses.
