Summary of This Role

Manages interprets and directs the accounting policies and procedures of the country/business unit to align with the established financial planning of the segment/enterprise. Sets direction for accounting practices financial controls (budgets) cost and general accounting for the country/business unit. Oversees the preparation and coordination of financial performance analyses and complex reports for strategic forecasting and planning of financial projects and transactions including long-range projections revenue cycle and other projects. Appraises country/business unit operating results in terms of costs budgets and trends to include start up costing and modeling. Country level controllers manage overall tax reporting and adherence requirements.

What Part Will You Play

  • Ensures financials for the period (i.e. month quarter and year) are accurate and adequate. Plans organizes and controls finance and tax functions. Provides budgeting forecasting and variance analysis to senior and executive management. Assists with budget preparation and cost center control of finance budget. Ensures accounting books are maintained in compliance with the statutory regulations accounting standards and the corporate policies and procedures. Ensures controls are in place particularly for payment authorizations. Ensures all statutory legal and internal compliances and reporting is provided accurately and timely.


  • Leads day-to-day transactions reporting analysis and legal operations of the finance department and produces monthly reporting information. Prepares and signs quarter and annual statutory accounts (e.g. Balance sheet Profit and Loss Profit Tax reports Value Added Tax (VAT) reports Property Tax reports). Ensures all legal reporting timelines are met including Profit Tax and VAT Returns statutory accounts etc. Prepares quarterly reports for tax compliance audit. Ensures reports and reconciliations are prepared accurately and timely and in accordance with laws policies and procedures. Provides cash flow reporting and management. Keeps informed regarding new financial reporting requirements. Works closely with external audit and tax agencies with regards to fiscal management reporting requirements reconciliation of various fiscal data sources and maintenance of required documentation.
  • Coordinates the budget and forecast process and ensures policies are followed. Prepares monthly cost variance analysis and reviews with managers. Controls cash management. Provides timely and accurate analysis of costs budgets reports and financial statements and develops tools for forecast evaluation.
  • Leads monthly and annual financial close process to include subsidiary information and preparation of valid financial statements necessary for corporate statement consolidation reported quarterly. Manages reviews and approves month end closing. Validates reconciliations and cash flow reporting.
  • Reviews and ensures supplier invoices are properly authorized and goods are received. Leads the collection efforts and improves the collection activities through frequent interaction between the client and the business. Identifies problem accounts and monitors receivables and collection processes.

What Are We Looking For in This Role

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Relevant Experience or Degree in: accounting finance or related degree or qualifying certification (CPA CMA ACA CIMA ACCA Certification)
  • Typically a minimum of 8 years
  • related professional experience including a minimum of 3-4 years experience in a supervisory position.

  • Masters Degree
  • related field of study from an accredited university.
