KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Manager Financial Services Operations the Customer Service and Finance Officer is responsible for performing a wide range of clerical and administrative services and support for the City. This position is a hybrid role that greets assists and provides assistance customer service support and information to clients visitors and other guests of the City and conducts transactional financial services as required for the division.
QUALIFICATIONS
The position requires a diploma in accounting or a related discipline along with a minimum of two (2) years practical experience in an accounting or financial environment. The successful incumbent may be required to obtain a notary public designation.
The position requires time management skills reflective of the need to coordinate various financial activities. The incumbent requires the ability to clearly convey messages both verbally and in writing and must be proficient in MS Office suite including Excel PowerPoint and Word.
SALARY
The City of Yellowknife offers a starting salary of $75137 per annum as well as a comprehensive benefits package including a defined benefit pension plan and a monthly housing and vacation travel allowance totaling $450.
