Summary of the Job:

The Junior Financial Advisor supports senior advisors in delivering high-quality client service financial planning and investment support. This role is designed for a developing professional who is working toward becoming a full advisor and is comfortable balancing client engagement operational accuracy and ongoing learning. The Junior Advisor will assist in preparing financial plans conducting research supporting client onboarding and ensuring all activities meet regulatory and firm standards.

About This Role:

Client Support & Service

  • Assist Senior Advisors in managing client relationships including preparation for meetings follow-up tasks and ongoing service requests.
  • Participate in client meetings as appropriate document notes action items and next steps.
  • Support onboarding of new accounts including gathering required documentation and coordinating with internal operations teams.
  • Respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in managing C and D tier clients to elevate their overall experience and help transition them into higher-tier (B and C) relationships.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Gather and analyze client financial data to create preliminary planning summaries investment proposals and retirement projections.
  • Conduct research on investment products insurance solutions and financial planning topics.
  • Help maintain and update financial planning software and CRM records.

Investment & Trading Support

  • Prepare materials related to portfolio allocation rebalancing and product recommendations (under supervision).
  • Assist with trade execution activities - block trading
  • Monitor client portfolios for exceptions cash needs and required actions.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Follow firm policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and complete client records in accordance with supervisory requirements.
  • Complete all annual and ongoing training related to regulatory and compliance expectations.

Team Collaboration

  • Partner with operations compliance and support teams to ensure smooth workflow and exceptional client outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts including process enhancements and client experience initiatives.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive solutions-oriented mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interacting with clients senior advisors and internal teams
  • Outstanding organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the financial services industry; takes direction well and applies feedback constructively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Outlook Word PowerPoint); experience with CRM systems or financial platforms a plus
  • Maintains professionalism confidentiality and reliability in all work

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

  • Experience: 3 5 years of experience in a financial services environment or relevant internships. Previous experience in a sales support or administrative role is a plus.
  • Licensing: Pursuit of relevant FINRA licenses (e.g. Series 7 Series 66).

Desired:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in finance business economics or a related field preferred.

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

This position requires Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) registration. Qualification requirements include meeting applicable financial industry responsibility regulatory requirements credit fitness and criminal background standards. Successful candidates must meet ongoing regulatory requirements including acceptable background investigation credit report and fingerprinting results.
