Job Summary

The Clinician II will work to address the unique needs of individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) in our Supported Living programs in Everett WA. Individuals receiving services are adults with often times multiple diagnoses and present with significant challenging behaviors. Supported individuals may also be part of the WA Community Protection Program and may have criminal backgrounds requiring increased clinical support in order to thrive in a community setting.

  • Manage caseload of individuals for treatment implementation
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and develop Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs)
  • Provide clinical guidance to Direct Support Professionals and Program Managers
  • Conduct program visits to interact with staff and supported individuals
  • Foster positive rapport with individuals parents and guardians
  • Complete progress reports documentation and data collection updating plans as necessary
  • Review data to ensure care meets individuals current needs
  • Assist in providing crisis intervention and outreach as needed and appropriate.
  • Consult and assist with assessment and implementation of supports needed such as reinforcement systems coping skills adaptive equipment etc.
  • Provide guidance and assistance with admission and discharge decisions on high needs cases.
  • Participate in the debriefing of significant incidents of individuals on caseload when requested
  • Attend person-centered planning meetings referral/intake meetings and home staffing meetings
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with external service providers including DDA Consultants Hospitals external providers etc.

Qualifications :

What Makes You a Great Fit: 

  • Must have a masters degree in psychology behavior analysis mental health special education social work or other related discipline. Will also consider candidates in the last semester of obtaining masters degree. 
  • 2 years of experience with individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities (IDD)
  • Relevant experience in designing and implementing support plans for individuals with developmental disabilities autism mental health and/or challenging behaviors
  • Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred
