Job Opportunity: Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Hartford CT
Join a prestigious hospital in Hartford Connecticut for a full-time locum Cardiothoracic Surgery position. This role offers a 3-6 month assignment with potential for extension into 2026. Nestled in a vibrant city known for its rich history and cultural diversity this facility provides a welcoming environment for both staff and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiovascular surgeries including but not limited to CABG valve repair/replacement and thoracic aortic aneurysms.
- Provide patient care in both the Operating Room and ICU.
- Conduct rounds for patients in the Emergency Room and inpatient floors.
- Participate in a call schedule of approximately 7-8 calls per month.
- Document patient interactions and procedures using the EPIC EMR system.
- Collaborate with a full complement of ancillary staff in a Level One trauma center.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Active Connecticut medical license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Experience in performing required surgical procedures.
- Local provider preferred (mileage reimbursement available).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current and active BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Active Connecticut medical license is mandatory.
